Coordinated effort to combat campus sexual assaults

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) — State officials are combining their talents and resources in an effort to end sexual assaults on campuses.

Wednesday morning, Capital Community College in Hartford hosted a coordinated effort, that will bring together top law enforcement officials, educational leaders and social groups to both heighten awareness and combat sexual assaults on campus.

Among those slated to speak at the seminar is Mark Ojakian, the president of Central Connecticut State University. Representatives from the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence, the Chief State’s Attorney and members of the Hartford police department will also be in attendance.
