THOMASTON, Conn. (WTNH) – Thomaston Police have arrested two Waterbury men for a string of thefts of motorcycles and ATV’s from several area stores.
Francisco Ramos is charged with burglary 3rd, larceny 3rd, operating a vehicle without a license and restricted turns. Luis Angel Arzola is charged with larceny 1st (2 counts), burglary 3rd, criminal mischief 1st, weapon in a motor vehicle and criminal attempt larceny 3rd, criminal attempt burglary 3rd.
The arrests came after a newspaper carrier called police reporting a motorcycle off the side of North Main Street early Tuesday morning. Responding officers spotted a quad with a vehicle behind it lighting up the road for the quad and that vehicle had a tow rope attached to it. Another officer located the motorcycle which still had a key in it. The quad fled the scene but the other vehicle stopped. Police then checked the nearby Superfly Motor Sports Store and found it had been broken into. Ramos, the driver of the vehicle, was then arrested. Police were then lead to a location in Waterbury where they found additional stolen motorcycles and arrested Arzola. Police also discovered that Roost Powersports had also been targeted.
