Kids Singing for a Cause: Upcoming Hunger Awareness Concert with LUNCH and Bill Pere

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Grammy winning songwriter Bill Pere shares what it’s like to sing for a cause with the LUNCH Ensemble. More than 3,000 talented kids have participated to raise more than 1 million dollars in for charities and services.

LUNCH was founded by Bill Pere in 1989, with the intention of doing a one-time concert in honor of the 10th anniversary of the death of Harry Chapin (1981), and a goal of raising $10,000 for local social services.  The event held in April 1991 was so successful, raised more than $20,000, and came back year after year after popular demand.

Upcoming Events:

Their upcoming Hunger Awareness & Community Outreach concert will be held on November 13th at the First Church in Middletown.
