NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) – Norwalk Police have arrested a man who they say had a backpack full of pot to sell and a gun. Wednesday around 9:27 p.m., Norwalk Police say they spotted a man smoking pot at the corner of Bayview Avenue and Golden Hill Street. When officers started talking to him, they say he took off. They chased him, and eventually tackled Alexis Rodriguez, 24 of Norwalk. Police say he had three plastic bags of marijuana weighing 31.6 grams, and a stolen Beretta 9 mm handgun. They say the gun had been stolen from Darien. Rodriguez was already wanted on a warrant on another drug charge. He’s charged with having a stolen firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, and intent to sell within 15 hundred feet of a daycare. Rodriguez is being held on $100,000 bond.
