Stamford man arrested for crack cocaine possession

NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — A Stamford man has been arrested after police found him in possession of crack cocaine.

Police were called to Larsen Street around 2:30 p.m. Thursday for a report of a man passed out in a car. Police say when they got there, the man got out of the car, dropped a bag of crack cocaine and ran away. Police started chasing him, eventually catching him in the backyard of a Concord Street home.

According to police, the bag that was dropped had 42 pieces of crack cocaine in it. Benjamin Mosby, 37, of Stamford was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession within 1500 feet of a school, interfering with police and criminal trespass. He is held on $50,000 bond.
