UConn police make arrest after woman groped on campus

STORRS, Conn. (WTNH) — University of Connecticut police have arrested a suspect after a reported assault on campus Thursday afternoon.

A crime alert was sent out by UConn police on Thursday afternoon stating an alleged assault happened outside of the Commissary Warehouse on Gurleyville Road. According to police, just before 2 p.m., a college-aged male approached a female outside of the Commissary Warehouse, grabbed her buttocks, then ran away.

Police say the suspect was identified as 21-year-old Samuel Manzolillo, a student at UConn. Police found Manzolillo at his apartment and say they found the clothing he was wearing in the video in his apartment. He is charged with second-degree breach of peace and fourth-degree sexual assault. He is due in court on Friday.
