100 more honored by the CT Coalition Against Domestic Violence

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – The Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence has recognized another 100 individuals for their work in helping domestic violence victims.

The CCADV held its 6th annual breakfast & awards ceremony at the Hartford Marriott Downtown to honor the First 100 Plus Class of 2016. The class consists of people from different backgrounds including police officers, attorney’s, Prosecutors, state senators and representatives, and doctors.

The CCADV says members of the class have demonstrated leadership and commitment to improving the lives of domestic violence victims and their families in Connecticut.

CCADV says Connecticut averages 14 intimate partner homicides a year and the funds raised at the annual breakfast goes to support their public awareness efforts at combating domestic violence and assisting victims.
