Cruisin’ Connecticut – Houdini is Hungry at the Magic Cafe in Shelton

SHELTON, Conn. (WTNH) – Today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to a new Shelton restaurant adding a little illusion to its menu. The Magic Cafe is open for business combining good eats and the allure of the unknown.

Bryan Lizotte and his wife Michele opened the restaurant in just three weeks, and told us how he was inspired to combine his passion for magic and good eats!

When I was 12 years old my dad took me to a local magic show, he did a magic trick with me with a handkerchief I fell in love with magic ever since. I wanted to have a magic themed restaurant. We’re going to have magic shows here eventually. Everything is made fresh our Angus cheeseburgers are a little thicker than others and are made to order.

We experienced first-hand, the amazing magic Lizotte, and the “Houdini Burger” was equally as impressive, topped with an egg, pepper jack cheese, cheddar cheese and chipotle aioli.

Visit the Magic Cafe at 99 Bridgeport Avenue in Shelton, and like them on Facebook!
