Newington T-mobile workers tied up by masked robbers

NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Two men are still at large after tying up T-mobile workers during an armed robbery in Newington.

According to police, two employees were forced to the back of the Newington T-mobile store on the Berlin Turnpike, and tied up. Just after 8:15 on Thursday night, the suspects approached the employees as they were closing up shop.

The masked men took the workers to the back of the store, tied them up, and forced one of them at gunpoint to open a safe, police said.

Police say they are looking for two “large” black men, one of them heavy and one of them thinner. Both are believed to be in their twenties.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Newington Police Detective Division (860)594-6249.
