ECSU student dies suddenly, school officials say

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (WTNH) — Officials at Eastern Connecticut State University said a student has died.

Ken Bedini, Vice President for Student Affairs for ECSU, has said that Elizabeth Hadfield of Glastonbury has died suddenly. Elizabeth was a dean’s list student, a double major in elementary education and visual arts and was on track to graduate with her Bachelor’s Degree in May 2017.

“The University community is deeply saddened by this tragic loss. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her friends and faculty here at Eastern. Our prayers go out to her family and friends during this difficult time,” said Bedini.
