Canned Goods for Cocoa kicks off in West Haven

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Folks came out to West Haven Sunday to donate food, and got a cup of hot cocoa for doing so.

Organizers dressed up in costumes for the Canned Good for Cocoa event. They say all the donations made will stay in West Haven.

“West Haven has always taken care of their own and there are so many people in need. So many people who can’t afford to put a meal on the table,” said organizer Donna Rzasa.

All the donations will go to the West Haven Emergency Assistance Taskforce.
