Financial expert says election could have impact on stock market

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — The President of Heritage Capital says based on his research, the stocks indicate there’s a 75 percent chance Donald Trump will win on Election Day.

Paul Schatz says if you notice your stocks dropping right now, don’t be alarmed. That is typical for the week leading up to the election.

“In an election year we talk a pause until after the election. As Thanksgiving gets closer, markets get better,” he said.

Stocks typically rally post-election and into the New Year, unless the election results are unclear.
