NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — It’s hard to believe, but Thanksgiving is just around the corner. To get you in the holiday spirit, News 8 went to Cafe Java in New Haven for a delicious turkey sandwich unlike any other.

Bruce, the man behind the counter shared his personal favorite, a unique twist on a turkey and swiss.

Bruce shared what he was thankful for ahead of Thanksgiving.

I’m thankful that we’re still open here down in New Haven doing well.”

Today we’re making a turkey combination, and here are the ingredients that come together to make this tasty sandwich:

  • Oven roasted turkey breast
  • Spinach
  • Apples
  • Walnuts
  • Cranberries
  • Homemade sausage stuffing
  • Whole wheat wrap.

Put the mayonnaise in there, and the secret is a little bit of everything in every bite.

Now rolling a sandwich with all of this in it… well that takes a little bit of practice.

Here it is, Teresa’s creation -Thanksgiving in a wrap!
