Pedestrian struck outside polling place in Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, Conn. (WTNH)– A person was struck by a car outside of a polling location in Glastonbury Tuesday morning.

Police say officers responded to Nayaug School at 222 Old Maids Lane around 6:13 a.m., to the report of a pedestrian hit by a car in the parking lot.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries but their condition and identity is unknown at this time.

Police say there is no evidence that the victim was struck intentionally. The accident remains under investigation.

Officers ask anyone who may have witnessed the accident or who has any information to contact them at 860-633-8301.
