WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – A Wallingford man has been arrested after visiting nurse accused him of locking a woman in a room overnight and beating her. Police got a 911 call Saturday evening from a Wallingford home. The nurse told police what when she showed up at the home she noticed bruises on the woman’s face. As she was leaving she said she heard the victim yelling for help. The nurse went back and pulled the victim out of the house. As she was calling 911 the nurse says Michael Moccio, 43, jumped into a car and threatened to kill her. He took off in a car. The victim told police Moccio had locked her in a room overnight and was repeatedly beaten. She said she was ordered to put on makeup to cover her bruises before the nurse got there. Moccio turned himself in to police Tuesday in New Britain. He’s facing a list of charges including Violating a Protective Order, Unlawful Restraint, Assault and Threatening. Moccio is out on $25,000 bond and is due in court on Thursday.
