Driver trapped in car after accident in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, Conn. (WTNH) — The Woodbridge Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle accident that took place Wednesday night on Route 67 Seymour Road, near the Seymour town line.

Woodbridge Police, Seymour Police, the Woodbridge Volunteer Fire Department and AMR Ambulance personnel responded to a three-car accident in which injuries were sustained. Officers that responded to the accident reported that an operator of one of the vehicles was trapped inside. The Woodbridge Volunteer Fire Department quickly extricated the individual. Everyone that was involved in the accident was then transported to hospitals near the accident.

Route 67 remained closed until 11:30 that evening. The names of the individuals involved are being withheld while the accident is under further investigation.
