MTA authorities investigate car on tracks

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)- A woman is being held for observation at Yale-New Haven hospital after driving her car onto the train tracks in West Haven overnight.

According to Metro-North officials, the woman suffered some kind of medical emergency which caused her to drive out of control and strike several other cars before ending up on the tracks. A number of cars were damaged in the incident, although it is not being revealed exactly how many.

The car was removed from the tracks at about 3:30 in the morning. No damage was done to the tracks in the incident.
