NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A special film screening will take place at Southern Connecticut State University on Thursday, November 10.
It’s for a new documentary that looks back at one of the worst tragedies to happen here in the state.
The documentary is called “Newtown” and takes a look at how the community dealt with the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary.
Six local movie theaters hosted screenings last week.
But later on Thursday about 100,000 people are expected to attend a screening at Southern Connecticut State University.
There will be a discussion after it that will include David Wheeler.
His son, Ben Wheeler, was one of the 20 children killed at Sandy Hook.
