Two arrested in Groton heroin bust

GROTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Police arrested two New London men Wednesday night for allegedly selling heroin in Groton.

According to officials, 27 year-old Bradley Lopez-Nieves and 29 year-old Miguel Cordero-Figueroa were arrested as part of a quality of life police initiative to combat the heroin epidemic in the area.

During the arrest, officers seized numerous bags of heroin packaged for sale, cash, 2 cell phones and a Honda coupe, police said.

Nieves and Figueroa were both charged with possession of heroin and possession with intent to sell.
