(WTNH) — As we move into the middle of November you probably notice the fall colors, which are a little less vibrant now. Many of the leaves off the trees. But there are still beautiful shots like this one from East Rock in New Haven.
I think we can all agree the big story of the week was the presidential race and, of course, the local races as well. No matter who you voted for — you voted. That’s all that matters. We got all the selfies you sent us. People coming out in record numbers across the state. You captured many of those long lines and reported issues at the polls.
But you also showed off your stickers with those two simple words. You put those stickers just about everywhere. Many of you having fun with the snap chat filters. And of course, the videos. A lot of young people and families proud of their civic duty. After all, this was a big election. Even those who could not vote getting in on the action. Showing their patriotism and in some cases hopes for the future.
While we’re on the topic of our country, many tributes this past week for our veterans. Like these scenes from the Veterans Parade in Hartford. Veterans from the Regional Water Authority also placing a wreath at the veterans monument in New Haven at Long Wharf.
Take a look at this little guy! That’s Paul Dominello … celebrating his 60th birthday this week.
Finally some familiar faces taking part in the Vicki Soto 5K.
Keep those pictures coming!
