West Hartford Police Investigate Burglary Complaints

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – West Hartford police are investigating a couple of burglary complaints.  Officers were called to the Elmwood section of the city on Friday.  In each case the homeowner reported that their homes were entered and items inside were stolen while they were home sleeping. In each home flat screen TVs were taken in addition to cash and other electronics.  It is believed that each of the homes were left unlocked as neither showed signs of forced entry. While the occupants were home during the incidents there were no encounters with suspects.  The crimes weren’t discovered until the morning.  While there were no witnesses a neighbor did report seeing a vehicle traveling in the area without any headlights on.  On this same evening a vehicle was stolen from Grennan Rd.  A second vehicle involved in that incident was a stolen car taken from West Hartford just days ago. Officers quickly located the vehicles but they fled the area at high speeds.

If anyone has information on these crimes they are encouraged to call the West Hartford Police Department at (860) 523-5203
