1 killed in car fired on Route 15 in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– A deadly car fire closed part of Route 15 in Hartford Sunday afternoon.

State police say the car fire broke out around 2:50 p.m. on the northbound side of Route 15 at the Charter Oak Bridge. The northbound side was closed for several hours for the investigation.

There was one fatality in the accident but no identities have been released. There is also no word on the cause of the car fire at this time.

The incident remains under investigation.
