Here’s why some Americans are wearing safety pins following Trump’s victory

(NEWS10) – Some Americans are wearing safety pins following Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election.

According to the Huffington Post, people are wearing a safety pin to declare themselves as allies to groups that have been targeted by Trump.

The idea was modeled after a movement following Brexit in the United Kingdom.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the presidential election.
