WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (WTNH) — Police in Arizona have captured the two men wanted in connection with a murder that happened in Willimantic over the weekend.
Two arrest warrants were issued nationwide for the two men believed to be responsible for the murder of Francisco Delazcruz-Coj, who was killed at his home on Saturday morning. The cause of death has not been released at this time.
The two suspects are identified as are 26-year-old Juan Chach and 24-year-old Ignacio Chach-Aperez, both of Willimantic. Chach faces charges for murder and tampering with evidence. Chach-Aperez faces charges of accessory to murder and also tampering with evidence.
The two were arrested by Homeland Security Agents and members of the Phoenix Police Department Fugitive Task Force.
Police say the warrants were entered into National Crime Information Center with National Extradition with a court set bond of $1,000,000.000 for both.
Chach and Chach-Aperez are being held at the Maricopa County Jail in Arizona as felony fugitives from justice. They will be extradicted to Connecticut to face charges in the Delazcruz-Coj homicide.
