EAST WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — East Windsor police are asking for help in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery at the Sunoco station on Bridge Street, early Wednesday morning.

Around 4:20 a.m., East Windsor police say they responded to the Sunoco Gas Station at 163 Bridge Street on a report of a robbery. The clerk there told officers that the suspect headed west out of the parking lot on foot. A K-9 unit attempted to follow the suspect’s trail, but police say the track was unsuccessful.

Corroborated by surveillance footage, the suspect blocked the clerk from getting behind the counter. After ordering the clerk to get on the ground, he forced way to the register, grabbing cash, and making off on foot.

The suspect, described as a 6′-tall white male with teeth visibly missing, implied he had a gun and that he would shoot the clerk, police say.

Anyone with any relevant information is asked to call East Windsor police at (860) 292-8240. The department also reminds the public that tips may be messaged on Facebook, but they say, “do not leave any suspect information in the comments section.”\
