Driver pulled from Vernon rollover crash

VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) — Emergency crews pulled him a drive out from a car flipped over on its roof, after crashing on the Hartford Turnpike in Vernon.

According to police, the driver was heading east on the Hartford Turnpike when just before 10 a.m. on Thursday, when he crashed near the Tunnel Road intersection. The car went off the south side of the road, crossed over to the north side of the turnpike and rolled over.

The car was flipped over on its roof. The driver, Albert Michaud of Vernon, was inside.

Vernon fire crews pulled Michaud out from the car. He was transported to St. Francis Hospital to be treated for injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
