Hartford Police Italian Officers Association seeking food donations to help area families

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — With Thanksgiving just one week away, the Hartford Police Italian Officers Association is making a final push to the public for food drive donations.

The group hopes to provide Thanksgiving meals to 175 Hartford families who are less fortunate this year. The department is seeking donations of the following items: stuffing mix, boxed mashed potatoes, corn bread mix, canned green beans, canned corn, canned or bottled gravy, canned cranberry sauce, canned yams, rice, cake mix and icing.

If you would like to donate, items can be dropped off Monday thru Firday at the Hartford Police Sub-Station at Trinity, 130 New Britain Avenue. If you need additional information, please contact the Hartford Police Department at (860) 757-4463.
