New York man facing breach of peace charges in Orange

Orange, Conn. (WTNH) – Reports of a physical confrontation inside of a car on Route 34 in Orange sent police scrambling on October 15th.

When officers got to the scene, they learned that there had been a dispute between a New York City man, identified as 50-year old Louis Velez and another family member. According to police, the initial argument spilled over from the car and onto the side of the road on Route 34.

According to the police, Velez was taken into custody after striking the other person involved resulting in an injury. Velez now faces charges of assault and breach of peace in the case.
