State Police: 4-year-old left alone on school bus

STAFFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Stafford Police are investigating a report that a child was left alone on a school bus Thursday.

Police say the four-year-old was reported absent to the main office at West Stafford Elementary School on Thursday. An hour later, after checking with the child’s parents and the bus company, the child was found asleep on the bus.

The child was evaluated and finished out the school day.

Police, the Stafford Superintendent’s Office, M&J bus company and DCF are investigating.

Charges are pending.
