West Hartford car burglars arrested

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police arrested two suspects in a string of car burglaries in West Hartford on Friday afternoon.

According to officials, police responded to Warrenton Ave just after 1:30 p.m., to a car burglary reportedly in progress. Officers tracked down two people nearby, one of them was running away, police said.

Police quickly captured one of the them, and then the other soon after, who turned out to be a juvenile. Authorities say the two had a screwdriver, flashlights and many stolen items.

Police arrested 21 year-old Luis Sanchez, of Hartford. He faces a long list of criminal charges. The juvenile also faces several charges.

Investigators are still working to charge whoever is responsible for other home and car burglaries in that area recently.
