Female pulled from car, seriously injured in overnight crash

WILLIMNAIC, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating a two car crash that closed Route 32 for nearly six hours Saturday morning.

Police said two cars were involved in a head-on collision on West Main Street around 2:00 a.m.

According to Willimantic police, one person had to be taken out of her car before she was transported to Windham Hospital. She was then immediately brought to Hartford Hospital by LifeStar and suffered a head injury.

Two males that were in the second car were also taken to Windham Hospital and were released with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call Willimantic Police at 860-465-3135
