‘Star Wars’: Emilia Clarke Joins Han Solo Film

(ABC News) — Emilia Clarke has joined the cast of the new “Star Wars” Han Solo film.

It was announced today on the website for the franchise that the that the “Game of Thrones” star would “round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter.”

No other details about her part were available.

The untitled movie, which will take place before the original “Star Wars” trilogy, stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will direct.

The film is set for a 2018 release.
