2 pedestrians hurt in Stamford hit and run

STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Stamford police are looking for the driver who hit two pedestrians then fled the scene Saturday evening.

Police say two pedestrians were injured after they were struck by a car on Tresser Boulevard (Route 1) near Greenwich Avenue, just before 7 p.m.

The driver fled the scene but left several pieces of the vehicle behind. Investigators believe this evidence will help identify the car and eventually the driver. Police are asking the driver to come forward to explain what happened from their perspective.

The pedestrians were taken to Stamford Hospital. One of the victims has serious injuries, while the other has minor injuries. Their identities have not been released at this time

Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them at 203-977-4712. The incident remains under investigation.
