North Haven man arrested again for impersonating police officer

HAMDEN/NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)–A North Haven man is accused of pretending to be a police officer, and it’s not the first time he’s been arrested on those charges. Nicholas Ferrucci was arrested Friday.

Last month, Hamden police got a call from a man claiming someone tried to arrest him. He said Ferrucci followed him closely, flashing high beams at him, even following him to his home.

The man says Ferrucci came back and tried to arrest him, but after an argument he took off. An investigation led Hamden police to Ferrucci.

Ferrucci was also arrested for impersonating an officer back in 2014, after several people said they saw him riding around Hamden on a motorcycle that was decorated like a police bike.
