Stage 8 Presents: Music Lantern Student Musicians

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Yaira Matyakubova of Music Haven in New Haven teaches music lessons to young aspiring musicians.

Music New Haven is a non-profit organization. The program, now 10 years old, is tuition-free and even provides the instruments for students. The group “Music Lanterns” are paying their music lessons forward.  The kids in the group wanted to raise money for girls in India to go to school. “They decided they will perform as many concerts as they can to raise money and awareness about kids,” said Matyakubova.
