Willimantic Subway robbery suspect arrested

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (WTNH) — A Putnam man was arrested for robbing a Subway restaurant in Willimantic on Sunday.

Just before 7 p.m., a man wearing a black mask and a “hoody” entered the Subway on High Street alone. According to police, the man demanded money from the store clerk, not implying he had a weapon, and took off with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police in the area quickly captured and arrested the suspect, 27 year-old Kyle Woodmansee. He was released on $5,000 bond pend a court date of Nov. 30.
