Hamden market held up at knife point

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)  –  Hamden Police are investigating an armed robbery at a market this morning.

Police say a man with a knife held up the Krauszer’s Market on Whitney Avenue around 6 a.m.   The suspect asked the clerk for cigarettes and then showed what police describe as a “pocket knife” and demanded money from the register.  He then fled north on foot through the parking lot.    Police tried to track him using a K-9 but were unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as a white male.  He was wearing a black mask, black jacket and gray pants at the time of the robbery.
