Meriden man arrested for allegedly leaving five dogs at home without food and water

MERIDEN Conn. (WTNH) — A 31-year-old Meriden man was arrested after police say he left two dogs and three puppies at home without food and water.

Meriden Police say Ricky Wells Jr. was arrested Sunday for allegedly leaving his five dogs at his home on Eisenhower Drive.

Wells is facing multiple charges including cruelty to animals. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond and is schedule to appear at Bristol Superior Court on  November 28, 2016.
