TOLLAND, Conn. (WTNH) — Two adults and two toddlers were sent to the hospital for evaluation on Tuesday evening, when their car rolled over after striking a tire on I-84 in Tolland.
Around 7:28 p.m. on Tuesday, troopers in Tolland as well as the town’s fire department were dispatched to the eastbound lanes of I-84 at exit 69.
An Infiniti G35 had popped its tire, when a Mazda 6 sedan carrying two adults and two toddlers, collided with the wheel and rolled over. Their car came to a rest on the opposite side of the roadway. The driver and sole occupant of the Infiniti, who police say is from Andover, Massachusetts, was able to safely pull over.
Troopers say that the 33-year-old man and woman, and 1- and 3-year-old children, were transported to Rockville Hospital to be evaluated for “possible injuries.”
