NEWINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Newington Police have arrested three juveniles occupying a stolen vehicle on Tuesday.

Newington Police went on patrol late Tuesday night after receiving a call of a missing gray Volvo near the center of town.

Police located the stolen car stopped at a red light, heading north on Newington Road. An officer was able to place stop sticks underneath the car, flattening the back passenger tire.

The vehicle continued onto New Britian Avenue, but was disabled when the driver tried to take a turn onto South Street.

An officer was able to apprehend the driver, but the two passengers took off on foot. They were then caught near a set of train tracks a short distance away.

All three juveniles suspects were arrested and turned over to the Newington Police Department.
