Vernon man charged with leaving a scene of an accident

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) – A Vernon man was taken into custody after being accused of leaving a scene of accident back in October.

According to South Windsor police, 22-year-old Cody Marone, of Vernon, was charged with evading responsibility, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, misuse of registration, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motorcycle without endorsement.

According to police Marone’s charges stem from a motor vehicle accident on Beelzebub Road back in October. He was operating an unregistered and uninsured motorcycle, hit a car and left the scene on Beelzebub Road.

He was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on December 1st.
