Man dies in Bristol motorcycle crash

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH)– Police have identified the man who was killed in a motorcycle crash in Bristol, Sunday morning.

Police say just after 6:30 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Farmington Avenue and King Street for a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. The motorcyclist, identified as 34-year-old Corey Cuvelier, of Bristol, was found suffering from a serious head injury.

Life Star was called to the scene but Cuvelier died from his injuries before he could be transported to the hospital.

An investigation revealed that Cuvelier was traveling eastbound on Farmington Avenue in a 2004 Kawasaki Volcan toward the intersection of King Street, when a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander traveling westbound, turned left onto King Street and collided with Cuvelier. The driver of the Mitsubishi, identified as 20-year-old Crystaly Acevedo, of Southington, was not injured but taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

Police say Cuvelier was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The accident remains under investigation at this time. Police ask anyone with information on the crash to contact them at 860-584-3036.
