Suspect sought in armed robbery of Middletown liquor store

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH)– Police are searching for the man who robbed a Middletown liquor store on Saturday night.

Police say officers responded to an armed robbery at Sal’s Package Store at 326 East Main Street around 9 p.m. The suspect entered the liquor store and stated that he had a gun concealed in a bandanna. He then threatened the store clerks and demanded a large sum of money.

The suspect is described as a black male, with a slender build, goatee and dreadlocks. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black and white sneakers, red gloves, and prescription glasses.

Police say when the suspect left the store, he began running towards the intersection of Saybrook Road and East Main Street.
