Ask the Lawyer: Credit card fraud

(WTNH) — On this edition of “Ask the Lawyer,” we spoke with New Haven-based attorney Tara Knight about holiday shopping and fraudulent purchases made on your account.

Here are some of the questions we asked:

– If your credit card information is stolen and fraudulent purchases are made, what protections do you have?

– What about contracts? What can you do if you get a gift that you don’t want that required a contract, like a gym membership?

Watch the video above for that and much more, and check out our “Ask the Lawyer” segments each week on News 8 at 5 pm.
