Malnourished Hamden dog now ready for a new home

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A dehydrated and malnourished bulldog mix found by Hamden police officers in August has been brought back to health, and is now looking for a new home.

According to Hamden police, an officer found a canine wandering in the area of Whitney Avenue and Armory Street on August 11th. The officer reported that the bulldog mix was extremely malnourished and dehydrated at the time he was found.

The dog was taken to the VCA Cheshire Animal Hospital, where it was later discovered that the dog has a significant skin disorder. After months of medical treatment, the dog police have nicknamed the “Comeback Kid” is ready to live with a new family.
