Body found in Willington pond

WILLINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police confirm that a human body was found in the water of a pond in Willington Tuesday morning.

Just after 10:30 a.m., Troopers from Troop-C in Tolland responded to Hall’s Pond, located off of River Road, on a report that a body was floating in the water. Troopers recovered the body, and the person was pronounced dead.

The identity of the person found has not yet been released, pending identification, and notification of the person’s next of kin. State Police are continuing their investigation.
