HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — We haven’t seen very much snow so far this season, but the state will be ready when the flakes eventually begin to fly.

Later this morning, Governor Dannel Malloy and the state’s transportation commissioner will roll out the state’s newest plows. They should be just what the doctor ordered during the worst of the winter storms, double the size of traditional plows with the ability to plow two full highway lanes with a single pass.

The governor and Transportation Commissioner James Redeker will demonstrate the plows at an event in East Hartford this morning.
