Woman jumps from hospital garage

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)  –  A woman was seriously injured when she jumped from a hospital parking garage in Hartford today.

A spokesperson for St. Francis Hospital says the woman apparently jumped from the third floor of the hospital’s Collins Street garage this morning.   The garage has four floors.

The woman, who is not being identified was taken into the emergency room and is in the intensive care unit.    The hospital does not give out conditions of patients.

The hospital spokesperson says the woman did not have an appointment at the hospital and they do not know why she was there.

The spokesperson says police are investigating.   Hartford Police have not given out any information on this incident as of this time.
