Gov. Malloy begins three-day trip to Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTNH) – Governor Dannel Malloy will be in Washington, D.C. Wednesday through Friday.

On Wednesday, Gov. Malloy will attend a conference hosted by the National Governors Association that will give an opportunity for the nation’s current governors to meet with those who were newly-elected to office earlier this month.

On Thursday, Gov. Malloy will participate in a summit focused on the challenges facing the nation’s criminal justice system and solutions at the federal level that have proven to work at the state level.

On Friday, Gov. Malloy will attend a holiday reception at the White House hosted by President Barack Obama.
