HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Operation Fuel’s statewide energy assistant program will begin taking applications at its 107 fuel banks starting tomorrow, December 1st. The fuel banks provide energy assistance to families and individuals who are struggling financially and over the past fiscal year provided energy assistance for over 7,000 households.

Operation Fuel’s Executive Director Karen Adamson said: “This holiday season, we are asking Connecticut residents to consider making a small donation to help ensure that vulnerable households are able to heat their homes and keep their lights on. Many of the people we help are children and the elderly.”

Last year Operation Fuel provided over $3.18 million of energy assistance and if you are interested in donating, visit their website at http://www.operationfuel.org.
